The Academy of Notre Dame de Namur is a private independent school for girls with approximately 500 students in grades 6-12. The campus is situated on the former Geist Estate, known as Launfal and includes the original mansion, formal gardens, and estate buildings. MAI created a Master plan for the schools 38-acre campus.
Generated by the master plan, projects include:
The Harron Family Building, designed and built to unify the campus architecture and functions as the school’s main visitor’s entrance and reception area. The three story, 28,000 sf building houses:
- A multipurpose fitness center including team rooms, athletic offices and lobby live on the lower level
- The intermediate floor includes the reception lobby, president’s office, and new seminar rooms
- The school’s library and technology rooms are housed in the top floor
- A new field house which is home to the Amy Willard gymnasium as well as a new library space located on the top floor
- A new landscaped boulevard directing all traffic to the new Harron Family building which improved traffic circulation, additional parking, and better student drop-off and pick up areas.
