Focused on enhancing member amenity spaces, the MAI team crafted a master plan for the Concord Country Club facility. With a beautiful championship golf course in the Brandywine Valley as the setting, Concord Country Club’s membership sought to take full advantage of the lush outdoor setting by creating an entirely new bar and restaurant venue that would not only increase their outdoor dining capacity, but would create a seamless flow between the indoor and outdoor spaces.
As part of an overall master plan for the club, the expanded dining space was envisioned as a centralized hospitality location flowing directly off the course, a flexible location taking advantage of a ground floor location perfect for the expansive events the club runs, as well as providing more intimate spaces for everyday socializing and dining. Central to the design is an indoor-outdoor bar running through the center of the space, creating a dynamic focal point between a traditional dining zone, and the more casual wine bar and lounge areas opposite, with high top tables and soft seating. Multiple sets of new French doors let the members flow from the indoors to the covered dining patio to the open patio soft seating and fire pit areas.
